The medium actioned Redbird is a great rod for fishing a wide range of lures including poppers and metals. The 2 piece rod has a medium action which allows you to cast light lures a surprising distance. The 24T carbon blank gives good feedback from the lure and the lower end has a surprising reserve of power to help play larger fish.
The rod has a nice modern finish and the anti-tangle SiC guides give good line flow. The EVA handle and ergonomic reel seat feel nice in the hand and make the rod comfortable to hold.
